Austin Area Food Bank

On October 22, the Meadowbrook class convened at Starbuck's in South Austin to prepare for a tour of the Austin Area Food Bank. The food bank, with the help of 19,000 volunteers, provides food for about 46,000 people a week.

I have added 2 new links to the Helpful Links page.  The first is a video that lets you hear and repeat the pronunciation of the 100 most common words in English.

The second is for English word of the Day, where you can sign up to have a new word and more delivered to your email every day.

Going Green 2014 — Student Projects

ACC South Austin Library

Pam Spooner, head librarian at Austin Community College South Austin Campus library is the best! She provided an incredibly helpful orientation to our ESL class on March 1 that got everyone excited about the library. I learned a few new things, too. Thank you, Pam!
